Volunteer Wellington celebrates volunteers each year at the time of the Mahi Aroha Awards during national volunteer week Te Wiki Tūao ā-Motu in June.

Each year the community is invited to nominate volunteers. This year there are four award categories:

Mitre 10 MEGA Volunteer of the Year
Celebrate a superstar volunteer who has made a significant contribution to your organisation.

Te Ao Māori
Nominate a volunteer that is a strong advocate for Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Celebrate their leadership in supporting Te Ao Māori values in your organisation.

Volunteer Team
Do you have a special team working with you? They might be a volunteer team from a business that supports you, a group of regular volunteers that deserve special recognition or an amazing board.

Youth Volunteer
Young people can bring fresh energy and ideas to your mahi. Nominate a young person (under 25) making a meaningful impact in your organisation.
