One of the coolest things about sheepskin is its flexibility.
This is my husband’s weekend DIY project for our boy using scraps of short wool or (long wool) sheepskin rug. It can turn an old furniture into something you could keep for life. If ever you need offcuts or short wool rugs, visit The Sheepskin Factory along Barrys Point Road in Takapuna. It's open 7 days a week!

This is what happens when you give a student free-reign over painting the flat. We love it here, and these photos don't even cover everything. I led the painting of these with help from my flatmate at the beginning of the year and am still in bliss.

I walked out in disgust. There are plenty of other shops to buy magazines!!

The glorious hues of colour as from an artists palette , paint the sky in all its glory, from bright pale and creamy swirls to pinks and mauves and sea green, disappearing into the darkness leaving the grass and trees black silhouetted against the last of the crepuscular rays. This leaves me with peace and tranquillity , costing nothing in monetary value but reminding me that simplicity can me more precious than any money could buy.

Soft winds caress my skin, as I look to heaven above,
Trees are whispering swoosh swoosh, and from a branch flies a dove;
With white wings spread circling around, suddenly darting to the ground-
where searching there amongst the leaves a feast of insects found.
A little path leads to a stream and tiny fishes can be seen,
darting here and there, they glide along without a care.
The bark and twigs beneath my feet, crackle and snap and wake from sleep.
The pungent smell of bush and grass waft up to greet me as I pass -
through forest thick, neglected, desolate but calm and almost welcoming
they feel the presence of a being pressing on, wandering without reason,
And I am left with feelings of wonderous magic created as if in a dream.'

On Tuesday we adopted these three gorgeous triplet kittens - 2 boys and 1 Princess (Beaux Bear, Theo'dorable, and Princess Lilac).
Their mum was killed by a car when they were tiny kittens and they were half hand raised and half surrogate fed by another mum cat who had weaned her own kittens. Initially they were from a litter of 6 - 1 died, and the other 2(Winter and Ru) can be visited at the Catnap Cafe in Christchurch. These are among the first kittens in the world to be completely cured of FIP after 6 months of daily injections with some ground breaking medication.
Prior to that it was my guitar collection.
