We, the undersigned are aware that The Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) is set to close over the next 3 – 5 years.  We know the strong connection that our local surrounding communities have with the health services and this site and believe that health services should continue to be provided from this site in the future to support the 'day to day' needs of these communities, and with it provide an accessible and lower cost health system for residents within our southern suburbs. Thereby promoting overall community well-being and resilience.

Services could include: a day hospital, older person’s assessment and rehabilitation, a radiology dept, maternity services, mental health services and space for the community support teams.

We ask the Canterbury District Health Board to support the provision of such health services from The Princess Margaret Hospital site in the future.
